Pastoral Care

The function of Pastoral Care and Counseling ministry can be summarized into two terms – “member care” and “counseling.” The PC&C ministry needs gifted, committed and faithful men and women to join in this ministry of “care” and “counseling.” Read through the following short descriptions of the PC&C sub ministries and the spiritual gifts compatible for each. May you find a ministry where you can serve according to your spiritual gifts.

  • Servant Friends Ministry

    This ministry serves to represent the church by welcoming guests and visitors during Sunday services. The Servant Friends minister with hospitality as they evangelize, encourage and pray for the guests. If you have gifts of encouragement, evangelism and hospitality, we invite you to come and join us in the Servant Friends ministry.

  • Counseling Ministry

    This ministry serves to give biblical advice and support to our brethren to help them make important decisions in life or deal with social, emotional, and spiritual problems. Practical help is gained through the understanding and application of God’s Word. If you have gifts of discernment, encouragement, knowledge, wisdom, and shepherding, we invite you to come and join us in the Counseling Ministry.

  • Assimilation Ministry

    This ministry serves church attendees who have expressed intention to become members of GCF East. They help membership applicants discern and understand “who we are” and “what we believe” as a church in the body of Christ. They conduct membership classes, water baptisms and right hand of fellowships. If you have gifts of teaching, knowledge, and helps, we invite you come and join us in the Assimilation Ministry.

  • Member Care Ministry

    This ministry serves to reach out to GCF East church members by providing them brotherly support. Our servant volunteers in this ministry serve in hospital/home visitations, bereavement, and dedication services. Our deacons work together with the volunteers in this ministry. If you have the gifts of encouragement, faith, intercession, preaching, and mercy, then come and join us in the Member Care ministry.

  • Project REACH

    REACH means Responding to Emergencies thru Assistance, Compassion and Hope. This ministry serves to reach out in rescue or relief efforts to our church members who are affected by typhoon, flood, earthquake or fire. If you have gifts of administration, giving, helps and leadership, come and join us in Project REACH.
